Southwest Smoked Lobster Different From What You Think

This one’s just for grins, guys. In Southwest Harbor, Maine, the goofballs over at Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound are sedating their lobsters with marijuana prior to throwing them in the pot (ez pun). Is it really making a difference (especially because you’re just gonna eat the bug anyway)? Can’t answer that, but I’d still say it’s Certified R.A.D.

Maine Restaurant Sedates Lobsters With Marijuana Before Cooking Them

According to the paper linked by Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound, lobsters do apparently have cannabinoid receptors, so maybe the guys enjoy it. Obviously, this is a critical research area for marijuana policy and marine biology alike.
