You Don’t Have to Be a Scientist to Listen to Them (or Use Your Brain)

This is old news, but I think about it quite a bit – especially leading up to the US midterm elections and in light of the recent IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) special report. Jim Bridenstine is the first elected official (as opposed to a scientist) appointed to lead NASA and he was a climate change denier to boot. But lo, he did some research, listened to experts, and he honest-to-God changed his mind. I’d call it a miracle, but that would be an insult to this man’s ability to reason. I do, however, think this is a good reminder that no one should be written off. We should always be trying to convince the deniers of the incredible threat climate change poses. It’s going to take all of us working together to solve this thing, after all. Good on ya, Jim! Certified R.A.D.

NASA chief says he changed mind about climate change because he ‘read a lot’
